Definition: It is an epoxy resin based, two component, reaction drying and special zinc reinforced epoxy primer that cures with polyamide hardener.

 Qualities : It adheres perfectly to sheet metal, galvanized, aluminum, wood and mineral surfaces. It is used on all kinds of wood, metal and mineral surfaces that are exposed to water, sea water, chemicals and abrasion. It is used in general industry, machine manufacturers, metal protection and marine applications.

Surface Preparation and Application: Oil, dirt, rust, rolling peel or old paint residue on the metal surfaces to be applied should be cleaned by mechanical ways or by sand spraying until bright metal is obtained. The first layer of primer should be applied preferably immediately, at the latest within 4 hours after sandblasting. Priming of prepared surfaces should never be left to the next day. If the application must be postponed, the surface must be again sandblasted and cleaned before priming. Sembol Zinc Chromate Primer is a two component primer,therefore; after the first component is thoroughly mixed, the second component is added at the recommended rate. The duration of use after preparation of the mixture is 8 hours at 20 ° C. For applications, recommended thinner should be used. Priming is started by applying bolt heads, weld seams and sharp edges with the prepared primer, then the whole surface is primed and the process is completed. In more than one coat application, light sanding should be done when at least 8 hours pass between coats. It can be applied directly on other surfaces after removing dust and slack.
