DEFINITION: It is an acrylic resin-based, non-yellowing, two-component paint that cures with acrylic isocyanate and has a matt appearance and high UV resistance.
QUALITIES: Thanks to its high resistance to physical and chemical abrasions, it provides a long-lasting adhesion on the surface even in difficult conditions.
APPLICATION AREA: It is used as the last layer acrylic paint of protective anticorrosive paint systems on all steel structures, industrial and port facilities, exterior surfaces of storage tanks and pipes, ship superstructures that are exposed to the open atmosphere and the sun, where color resistance is required.
SURFACE PREPARATION: Before application, clean the surface from dirt such as dust, rust, oil.
APPLICATION
Metal Surface: The surfaces to be applied should be cleaned of all kinds of materials that will reduce adherence. Metal surfaces should be sandblasted (sand rasp) at least Sa2 ½ grade (ISO 8501-1, SSPC-SP10), the surface of the rasp should be primed with Sembol Acrylic Primer within 6 hours (It can also be applied on epoxy primer). After completing the primer drying (4 - 6 hours later), the final coat application is started. The surface temperature should be at least 3 degrees higher than the dew point. No application should be made around the dew point. In the last layer application, it is necessary to wait 24 hours between the layers.
Old Painted Surface: Loose swollen paints on the surface should be cleaned and level defects on the surface should be filled with epoxy paste and sanded. Application should be done after all free powders on the surface are cleaned.
PREPARATION: Component A and Component B are mixed with the help of a mixer until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. After mixing in the specified ratios, 5-10 minutes should be waited for pre-reaction of the components before application.
THINNER : Acrylic Thinner and /or Cellulosic Thinner
COVERAGE : 4-5 m²/Kg.
DRYING TIME: Touch drying time is 1-2 hours, Waiting time between layers is 24 hours, Full drying time is 7-8 hours, Chemical drying time is 7 days.
STORAGE : It is one (1) year in its unopened package under suitable storage conditions.
